When Ginsberg says that something's happened and he doesn't know what to do, Ned's brain is already kicking into gear, getting ready to analyze whatever pinch Ginsberg is in and offer whatever help or suggestions he can. But it doesn't occur to him, right until the moment Ginsberg tells him, that this might actually involve him.

As it is, the truth leaves him speechless for several seconds. He just stands there and gapes, flummoxed.

"Who?" is his first question, followed quickly by, "How?"
