"Bob," he says, almost immediately, as though it should be obvious that if anyone at the office were to find out, it would be Bob. It nags at him, too, because he doesn't make a habit of talking to Bob about anything personal -- nobody does, they'd have to be crazy to -- and yet he seems to know things that nobody should.

He puts a hand to the back of his neck, rubs it like he's got some knot in his muscles that he just can't get out, and from the tense way he's holding himself, that's probably not entirely inaccurate.

"He found out because I'm an idiot. Because I forgot to take the trash out, or at least shred it, and your birthday card..."

He trails off again, shaking his head in disbelief. How could he be that stupid? Just because he was letting himself get comfortable with Ned didn't mean he had to let himself get comfortable with everyone.
