Ned's first reaction is to just be glad that it wasn't Ginsberg's father that somehow found out. As messy and inconvenient and even dangerous as it is for someone at his workplace to find out, it's nowhere near as bad as if his family did. However, as the initial relief fades, Ned feels the gnaw of worry in his gut. Bob. Of course it would be Bob.

Ned's body language is just as tangled up as Ginsberg's. Without noticing it he's crossed his arms over his chest tightly, as if to protect himself from some kind of outward attack.

"You didn't just make the one copy," Ned is able to fill in the gaps. There had been a draft, or two, and Bob had seen them. "I can't- who does he think he is, going through someone else's trash, I mean, what kind of person does that?"
