"Shit," Ned mutters under his breath. He's not mad at Ginsberg, exactly, but there is a brief moment when he thinks that he would have done better, he'd have convinced Bob if he'd been the one confronted. But Ginsberg isn't like him; lying hasn't been a part of the fabric of his everyday life in the same way that it has been for Ned.
"Is he gonna blackmail you?" he asks, covering his face with his hands. Various courses of action are suggesting themselves. There has to be a way of dealing with Bob, of getting back at him. Some way to set up a kind of mutually ensured destruction. That way, if Bob ever got it in his head to blab about Ginsberg and Ned to his bosses, or try to extort anything from Ginsberg using the info, they would have a countermeasure ready.
