Alec's hands are definitely rough and calloused.
"That's fine. I generally won't respond if someone calls me Alexander. Which is why I generally introduce myself as Alec."
He pronounces "Alexander" as "Alec'sander", with a bit of an odd accent/lisp. The long explanation doesn't seem to bother him at all, either.
