I'd call you Michael if you'd introduced yourself that way, but you never have. Seems rude to insist on a name that a person doesn't even use.

I've no idea what I was called as a baby either, but I suspect it was probably Toshiko, same as I've been called all the rest of my life.

Logically, yeah, that's true, but you have no idea how many people call me Michael. I mean, my dad can get away with it, because he's my dad. He can call me whatever he wants, I guess.
