Yeah, he probably won't be too offended by that. On the other hand, if I had a kid, I wouldn't just call them Baby because I didn't know what else to call them. Okay, maybe I would. Actually, it's pretty likely that I would.
[ Lots of people don't name their babies right away. Pretty sure they pick a name by the time the kids are old enough to understand they haven't got a name, but then it's not exactly my area of expertise. ]
I guess I could believe that. It's not like a baby can remember much of anything anyway. You could probably call it whatever you wanted. I mean, I don't know what I was originally called when I was born. That must not have done me too much harm. Although I do still hate to go by Michael, for whatever reason. Thanks for not calling me Michael, by the way. You'd be amazed at how many people do, even after I tell them not to.
Logically, yeah, that's true, but you have no idea how many people call me Michael. I mean, my dad can get away with it, because he's my dad. He can call me whatever he wants, I guess.

I've no idea what I was called as a baby either, but I suspect it was probably Toshiko, same as I've been called all the rest of my life.
