I believe you. I think. I mean, I guess a tyrant would probably say that too. But you seem okay. As far as kings go. I figure most of you like power a lot, anyway.

[He's completely hopeless at hiding just about any emotion, good or bad. When he feels happy, it's just as obvious as when he feels panicked and afraid. And right now, leaning into that hand on the back of his neck, it's clear that he's relishing every affectionate touch.]

You'd be sort of wasted as a king if you didn't like power.

[And Oberon does - oh he very much does. And not even big, showy power like having someone executed. Little power, like the power he feels right now by raking his fingernails on his skin and feeling the goosebumps rise up. That's just as interesting.]

I guess so. That's why I'd be a shitty king.

[Well, if he wants to use his kingly powers for nice things like neck scratches, Ginsberg sure isn't going to protest.]

[But it's so comfy here. And he hasn't had this much affection in so long. Just give him... A couple more minutes.]

[It's kind of amazing in the span of a few hours to go from near panic, to not even wanting to leave, Oliver is just going to bask in his smugness about that for a bit.]

Seems like you need to do more of this is your normal life.

[If there's one thing that's always been true about Ginsberg, it's that his emotions and desires come and go very quickly. A couple hours seems totally logical for a shift from utter panic to sheer enjoyment.]

Well, I don't do any of it in my normal life. It's just not the kind of thing you can do with everyone, and I get the feeling that people'd think I was kind of weird if I brought it up.

Luckily for you I've been informed by several reliable sources that I am very weird, so you never have to worry about any of that with me.

You're pretty weird. But it's the good kind. You remind me of a friend of mine, except more kingly and less stoned.

Yeah, but see, not everyone thinks so. I mean, do you have any idea how many times I've been fired just for being me?

Well, um, one guy fired me because I insisted on calling him by his first name instead of calling him Mr. Whatever.

[A pause.]

I also may have called him a fascist pig and told him that he should be lucky there wasn't a hell because otherwise he'd be going there.

My other bosses haven't fired me for similar, uh...

[How does he phrase this?]

I'm a genius. Well, in regards to that. Otherwise, I'm pretty much so-so at most things.

Having confidence in one area's pretty good, I think. And it's more than a lot of people have!

It's very good. Especially if it's true. Having it in more than one area's even better, though.
